Hey there! I have to say, just at a first glance, this drawing is magnificent. The composition is gorgeous and the colors are fabulous. After looking at it from a more skeptical point of view, I love it even more. While I don't exactly understand the story behind this painting, I know that this drawing TELLS a story, which is the more important aspect. I don't know if it's the contentment on her face while sleeping with a skull, or the fact that she appears to be snuggling with it, but I LOVE how this combines the macabre with the adorable. *squee*

I never give more than three originality stars for an MLP fan drawing, so don't take it too personally. The concept itself (a cute yellow pony snuggling with a dead animal's head) is very original, but I wouldn't be reacting in the way that I am if I didn't have preconceived ideas about Fluttershy first. No big deal.

The shading is beautiful; it kind of strikes me as a mixture between a glossy anime-ish kind of shading and traditional cartoon cell-shading. The only nitpick I really have with the technique is that the connection between the wing and the body is a little awkward, but other than that, there are no glaring issues with the subject itself.

I gave five stars for impact because you accomplished what you wanted to accomplish with this painting, and you did it stunningly. Kudos to you for combining Fluttershy with dead animals and having it STILL be adorable.
